At Melissa – KIKIZAS company we have demonstrated all these years intensive activity in terms of social and environmental initiatives. Loyally keeping our commitment towards people, environment and society, we invest and apply policies and practices that target our employees’ safety, the high quality of our products, the protection of the environment but also the social awareness of the wider community.

Consumers

The proper relation between our products’ high quality and good pricing constitutes one of our main commitments.

We inform our audience for the importance of the indicative daily intake for our bodies and the use of GDA’s.

For the fullest information of consumers and customers, we have put in place a special hotline in order to give information about our products, the suggested recipes, or to resolve any issue in the most direct way possible.

We organize educational programs with regards to the production procedure, the factory’s functions and other business activities for students of secondary, technical or tertiary education.

We organize school visits to our factory in Larissa, with guided tours and information sharing programs on the proper pasta production and the importance of the healthy diet.

Employees

The MELISSA – KIKIZAS FOOD COMPANY celebrated last year, sixty years of history and, nowadays, it is run by the third generation of the Kikizas family. Already in the first years of operation, the company’s founder Aleksandros Kikizas, had  inspired the personnel with his vision and had created a warm and friendly environment in such a way that each employee felt at home. Extra bonuses, a refreshing drink and light breakfast in the morning, regular excursions and compassion to the staff’s family problems, were only a few of the innovative “benefits” that have been enjoyed by our employees since the 1950’s.

This culture, which stresses on the Human and not just on the employee, continued at Melissa – Kikizas throughout the decades that followed until this day. The company’s Management firmly believes that the company’s quality depends on the quality of its Human Resources; and, that, when a company has good quality of human resources, when there is internal harmony and common vision, then the company is sure to succeed in implementing its goals.

From the answers provided to the questionnaire of the “GreatPlacetoWork” Institute, we noted with great satisfaction, that our personnel trusts the Management, believes that there is an easy access to it, that there is individual interest for each employee, and that there is a sense of fairness and friendly working environment. The greatest satisfaction for us is, of course, that our people feel proud of our company Melissa-Kikizas. They feel proud telling to other people that they work here, for what we have achieved and preserved in these difficult times, they feel proud of the Greekness, but also for the morality and the honesty that has been transferred to them by the founder of our company, many decades ago.
